Quapaw FFA

On March 15th my travels took me to Quapaw High School (http://www.quapaw.k12.ok.us/Site%208/Home.html). There I was greeted by Mr. Mayfield and the wonderful Quapaw FFA Chapter. I do a great deal of programs for the FFA (http://www.okffa.org/) but this one was very special to me as it reminded me of my small hometown. The students were wonderful and the word for the day was "Larry Factor"! OK that is two words but Larry knows what I am talking about.

We spent the afternoon talking about the small opportunities we have everyday to make a difference in someones life. Hopefully the students left with something as valuable as I did. My question for the students and for whoever is reading this is simple: What have you done today to make someone else smile, laugh or simply enjoy your presence?

My time there was well spent and I look forward to working with Mr. Mayfield and Quapaw Public Schools again.

With a smile on my face and love in my heart,

Red White and Blue

At the end of February I was invited to spend three days motivating the men and women of the United States Air force http://www.airforce.com/ in New Jersey. I was fortunate enough to spend my time with three great men 1st Lt. Joe Waddell (he is captain of the KC10 pictured right), 1st Lt. Jim Kolzow and 1st Lt. Stephen Latham.

We had a great time and shared some wonderful stories. It was very humbling to spend time with people who have dedicated their lives to serving us in such an amazing capacity. I will sum up my trip with the word SERVICE. These men and women truly live a life of service. Never once have I ever taken for granted the freedoms we are afforded but on my trip home I could not help but think how lucky we really are to have such a wonderful group of men and women working hard at work worth doing.

While there they took me and my old college roommate (Jess) into Philadelphia and toured Independence Hall and treated us to the most amazing Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches. And yes, I ran the steps where Rocky was filmed.

To the Red, White and Blue,

Clearwater FBLA

I recently spent two wonderful (but short) days in Clearwater working with the district 12 FBLA. Man, what a great group of leaders. Not only did they pick me up in the "Limo" but they spent the evening showing me around the beach and treated me to a nice diner. Thanks so much to Molly, Ms. Jonovich and the rest of District 12!!! They did an amazing job putting together a quality awards breakfast. In one word I would describe my trip as promising.

The entire group of young leaders showed promise and had a flare about them that made me feel good about our future. I also want to thank Alanna for posting the video of me at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zhc9UP0_g6Q. Great job gang and I will see you soon.
